KING SHARING ABOUT THE KING OF KINGS

Alabaster Project

Above is a photo of King sharing at the Medical Missions Conference in Louisville, KY this month. Praise the LORD for the opportunity to share and network.

MEDICAL OUTREACH

Alabaster Project

Dr. Zachery Stearns has been to Bethany Village at least eight times over the years. God has given him compassion for the people. We never have to announce his arrival to Tamale. Word of mouth travels very fast – “The doctor who cares has come!” It was impossible for Dr. Zach, as he is affectionately called, to treat all the patients. His fortitude is commendable. People who typically would mistrust anyone in the medical field have complete confidence in the treatment they receive from him.

CAN YOU HELP?

The northern region of Ghana is known as one of the worst places for eye diseases. We continue to pray and trust God for ophthalmological help for the people of this region.

I was driving through town one Saturday morning and the right eye of a teenage girl caught my attention. Her left eye was swollen about two inches in diameter. My first thought was maybe she had been beaten, but then I noticed that there was no skin discoloration around her eye, in fact, her skin was very beautiful. The skin covering her eye was swollen about the size of an egg. May the Lord hear our prayers.

The operating room is complete and all that is needed now is microscope to perform surgeries. A photo of the operating room is shown above.

This three year old girl was brought to the clinic with hope of receiving treatment.

CLEAN WATER

Harold Hardee visited us last September. The Lord has put it on his heart to help provide good drinking water for the tribes of the northern region of Ghana. The majority of the people do not have access to water, and those that have the water, it is filled with parasites and diseases. He visited several villages and saw firsthand how desperate the need for clean water is in the northern region of Ghana.

Above is a picture of women collecting water to cook their evening meal. This is the same water the cows and other animals drink, and in a few months this water will have dried up.

Harold is seen praying for the believers at the village of Blisinga.

ARE YOU READY?

Are you ready? In this life we are ready for many things. If we are students we are looking forward to finishing school. If we have finished school, perhaps we are ready to join the workforce. If we have worked for many years, maybe we are ready for retirement. We have a friend who has been ready for five years to go and meet Jesus face to face. Having buried her last surviving son, this widow has prepared everything for her burial. Above is a picture of her burial clothes and mat, which she been hung in her hut in plain sight for everyone to see. This gives her an opportunity to give an answer for the hope she has. How many Christians would say they are ready?

“GO AND MAKE DISCIPLES”

Jesus’ last commandment to his disciples was to “GO and make disciples”. Many activities are being carried out in the name of Jesus throughout the world, “For you have the poor with you always…..”. But unless we go and make disciples, the people may be helped, but will be without the knowledge of Jesus Christ – Savior of the world. Compassionate care gives us the opportunity to share Christ, and disciple those that believe.
