MINISTRY TO AFRICA

BAMAKO

Alabaster Project

Pastor Zakaria and King were recently in Bamako, Mali on a prayer journey. Mali is the 7th largest country in Africa. The believers number only 1% of the population. The call to prayer pierces the air, just as these towers of the largest mosque in Bamako, the capital, pierces the sky.

ZIMBABWE

Alabaster Project

Last September God made a way for me to go to Zimbabwe to be a part of a pastors’ conference organized by Will Wimble of Atlanta, Georgia. We met with quite a number of pastors in several cities. Due to the difficult and sensitive political climate it was necessary to have the pastors meet at scattered locations to avoid suspicion of the local authorities. I was part of the meetings at Harare, Chetungweza and Kwekwe. There was an air of discouragement and despondency among the brethren due to the tense political climate of Zimbabwe. Please lift up the brethren in Zimbabwe because they are going through tremendous amount of hardship due to lack of food and other essential commodities.

JSS STUDENTS

Alabaster Project

One of the ministries of Alabaster Project is helping to educate young men and women who are without parental support to help them to obtain an education. For the past three years this ministry has supported these young men in the picture from the village of Sanga. They were all school drop outs when we adopted them and sent them to junior high school. They have all gone through the three year program and have taken their national exams. Their hope is that they will be able to attend high school. Please pray for funds to continue to help these young men to complete their high school education.

DR. STEWART

Alabaster Project

Dr. Bob Stewart started ministering with Alabaster Project in Tamale, Ghana in the year 2000. We held several annual conferences as well as a pastors mentoring school.

The school provided a three year program for a selected group of pastors from the Tamale area and upper east region of Ghana. Pastor Zakeria Amidu is one of the fruits of that school. Last October Dr. Stewart came back to Alabaster Program again to hold a seminar for pastors and lay leaders. It was a great blessing for us and for the pastors and lay leaders in attendance.

FARM

Alabaster Project

This year we had very good yield ( 60+ bags) from our farm at Ying Village. Pastor Zakeria with other workers are busy bagging corn. This produce will be stored at our warehouse (House of Joseph) until the lean or dry season when we will take it to the widows and orphans in the various village churches. We have done for the last four years.

MOSES IDDI

Alabaster Project

Moses Iddi (left) is one of the core team members of our discipleship program. He assists Pastor Zakeria (right) with the discipleship training in the villages. The discipleship groups are becoming so many that Moses is now in charge of several of the discipleship teams. He took the motorcycle driving test and passed. He is receiving the keys to Pastor Zakaria’s old motorcycle to be used to go the villages. It was an exciting day for him and for us also.

WILL YOU PRAY?

Will you commit to pray? The number of Dagombas who have accepted Jesus as Savior continues to increase. Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as Lord truly desire to see their people saved. Pray for their strength and endurance.
