EYE CLINIC

In August Dr. Jim Chamberlain and members of his church, ChristWalk from Fernandina Beach, Florida will be visiting us at Bethany Village. Their main purpose is to set up the eye clinic and to train some of the local people how to use the auto refractor to dispense prescription eyeglasses. Please pray for this new ministry that will touch so many lives. Dr. Chamberlain came to Ghana last August to assess the need for an eye clinic. Due to dust from the Sahara Desert and the glare from the tropical sun, many people suffer from eye diseases and blindness that are curable. This will be only the second eye clinic in the whole of the northern region of Ghana.

FARMING MINISTRY

The picture below shows King learning to operate a tractor in Mound Valley, Kansas. Gifts for the nations donated this tractor to help with the farming project in the north of Ghana. Jerry and Debbie Cramer have been led by the Lord to help the local farmers improve their agricultural yields. We are blessed with this partnership of ministries working together to help others help themselves. Pray for the success of this ministry as it will really help the village pastors to financially take care of their families. Debbie Cramer

FRUIT OF DISCIPLESHIP

Barely two years ago, Nindoh Zaanyai, was an unbeliever; today, he is not only a born again Christian but here he is shown telling other unbelievers about Christ. In this picture Nindoh is presenting the gospel to patients in the dental clinic before they are seen by the indigenous lay dentists. Several of the unbelievers accepted the Lord as their Lord and Savior.

MT. PARAN HONORS PRISCILLA

It was nice to feel honored by my dear family at Mount Paran. This year during the Missions Festival, it felt like old times with all the quality time we spent with those who have become truly our fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters. Loved ones who have been so faithful to pray that God’s will be done in our lives.

START OF THE VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

How do you start a school without a building? This year we will start the school even though the school is not finished. We have several young girls who are ready to begin vocational training to become seamstresses. We will purchase sewing machines and we have a trained seamstress. Priscilla will assist with the classes. In addition to the sewing class, the students will be trained in personal hygiene, nutrition and money management.
