DENTAL CLINIC UPDATE

We have patients now coming to Bethany Village every Monday and Wednesday for dental help. Pastor Zackeria Amidu has been quite busy. He not only treats the patients’ physical needs but their spiritual needs as well . Please pray for the salvation of these people. Pray for us as we give them the word of God. Only the Holy Spirit is able to convince and convict them, not us.

Construction for a five room Dental Clinic is underway at Bethany Village. The clinic when completed will have two rooms for dentistry, one room for other medical needs, one room for medical dispensary and a waiting room. $15,000 is needed to finish this building. Presently even though the clinic is not completed we are forced to see patience in the uncompleted building. We used to see the patience’s in an open grass-roofed summer hut, but at the beginning of the rains this will be impossible.

DISCIPLESHIP

Commission Ministries has just completed the first 3-year discipleship program for village pastors in Ghana. The pastors had their graduation ceremony on last February, 2005. It was a joy to see the pastors receive their certificates. Dr. Robert Stewart and his wife, Linda has been faithful to come and conduct the teaching for these classes. Dr. Stewart is currently planning a second 3-year program.

PEACE KEEPING

Many of you have been praying for peace here in Tamale. Some of you maybe aware that we just had a peaceful election. There were several sad stories but overall it was just as God had assured us, indeed He had heard our prayers . Our Lord reigns in Tamale!! Through eyes of faith we declare what God has shown us.

BETHANY VOCATIONAL SCHOOL

The building for the Bethany vocational school is now under construction. The building when completed will include classrooms, dormitory and resident assistants’ apartment . The foundation is 5 ft. deep and will require many bags of cement, iron rods and blocks. We have been molding our own blocks and have molded over 5,000. We have saved over 35% of the cost by molding our own blocks.

YING FARM

A three-room farm house is under construction. This building will include the manager’s residence and a storage facility. The next step will be fencing the property to ensure against theft.

SANGA VILLAGE

Priscilla holding a discipleship meeting with Pastor Zack interpreting. On Thursdays she meets the women and some men of this village to discuss the bible and how to apply biblical teachings to their lives. During the month of February, evangelist Susie Taylor visited Sanga Village. After listening to two very powerful messages, 20 people decided to become Christians. Please pray for the new believers that they will endure persecution and remain faithful to Christ.

BENTON & ELYSE

Thanks for praying for Benton & Elyse’s education. We have a teacher who has committed to one year. Her name is Alana Berglund. Alana is from Des Moines, Iowa. Alana has always had a heart for missions and she loves children. Please pray for Alana as she endeavors to teach Benton, Elyse, Zach and Pumaya.
