CHRISTMAS 2010

Christmas 2010 is a celebration we will always remember. Christmas has always been a special time of remembering our Lord’s birth, but this year our guests also commented on the special time of giving and serving. The picture below shows our guests raising their hands to answer Bible trivia questions. Everyone who answered correctly received a gift. The Bible trivia game is an inspiration for many to study the word of God, which impacts their lives.

AN ANSWER TO PRAYER

Alabaster Project

The first floor of the ministry school building has been roofed! We thank God for His faithfulness. When He speaks He accomplishes it. We began construction of the roof of the ministry school building last October 2010 and the roof was completed January 2011. We wish to thank everyone who contributed to the completion of the roof. May God bless you and return your giving, a hundredfold. Amen.

FIRST SOUTH AMERICAN TEAM

Last December we opened our home and our hearts to two beautiful women of God from Latin America. Etiene and Rosita have answered the call of God to go into all the nations and make disciples. They worked tirelessly in ministry during the one month they lived with us at Bethany Village. Below is a picture taken during our Christmas celebration, Etiene and Rosita helped with the serving of food to more than 200 guests. We believe that God is speaking to the Latin Americans to rise up in this last hour and take the gospel of Jesus Christ into the 10/40 window.

A PLEASANT SURPRISE

Last October we were blessed with a German shepherd and 9 puppies. The German shepherd “Sierra” is one of the most loyal and obedient dogs we have ever known. The responsibility of caring for Sierra and the puppieswas a nice diversion while King traveled to Mali, since it is always a tense time of prayer when he travels into the Sahara Desert.

SOUTHEAST CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Alabaster Project

A team of five people (Charlie, Sherry, Linda, Ben and Blake) from Southeast Christian Church led by Dr. Charles Vittitow visited Alabaster Project December, 2010. Dr. Vittitow and his wife Sherry, worked at the dental clinic and visited several other projects in other villages. Below is a picture of Dr. Vittitow and Ben inspecting the construction of the ministry school building. His team was made up of seasoned missionaries who were a great blessing to us.

AUTO ACCIDENT GOING TO MALI

It usually takes about three days traveling through some of the worst roads in West Africa to get to our mission station in Mali. On my way there last November I had a young man helping me with the driving. We were involved in an accident with a big tractor, however, the Lord preserved us and we give God all the glory. We were not hurt and the damage was mostly to the vehicle. Thanks to God who always cause us to triumph in Christ Jesus.

IMPACT SPORTS

Impact Sports is a ministry which God uses to minister through sports evangelism in places where people do not ordinarily have a chance to hear the good news of salvation. Impact Sports made a definite impact in Nwodua, Sanga, Moglaa and Fooshegu villages. The school in Sanga really needed school supplies and J P and Savannah Duke answered that need. The gospel of Jesus Christ was received and many gave their heart to Jesus.
