Bethany Villiage is the first site selected by Alabaster Project Ministries to help the people of North West Africa build a better future and bring the loving word of God into their lives.

God has given Alabaster Project a holistic approach to ministry, both temporal (physical) and spiritual.

We are engaged in village evangelism with a strong emphasis on discipleship. We have seen lack of discipleship to be the greatest need for the body of Christ in this part of the world. We have developed several approaches to discipleship training. The first one focuses on the pastors; we have with the help of another ministry, set up a three year discipleship training program for twenty selected pastors. They are in their final semester of a three year program. We have also, developed discipleship training classes in several villages that trains both pastors and lay leaders, this is done in the various villages different days of the week. We have also developed personal (one on one) discipleship training programs.

Alabaster Project is involved in compassion care ministry through the dental and medical outreach programs. Several of us have been trained to be lay dentist and we go from village to village offering dental services to the villagers. Quite a significant number also come to Bethany Village for dental and medical help. This part of the ministry is growing at a tremendous rate and we are appealing for a dentist and a medical doctor to come on short-term missions to help us adequately meet these needs. We are in the process of building a dental and medical clinic in Bethany Village to cater for those that come to us. Presently, we do that service outside or in the dirt. Bethany Village is a city of refuge- shelter- for those that have accepted Christ and as a result of that are being persecuted.

We have broken the ground for the building of the vocational school to cater for the young girls and boys who are without education, without family support and most often without hope. The curriculum will include the teaching of skills that are relevant to the needs of the villagers such as: animal husbandry, fish farming, arts and crafts and a better way of raising crops. So, as you can see the ministry caters for the physical needs as well as the spiritual needs of the people that we have been called to, which are mainly Muslims. We have a tremendous need for both short-term and long-term missionaries to come and run the various aspects of the ministry. We also need instructors for the various skills that we are going to teach as the vocational school. Please get in touch with us to find out how you can serve the Lord in the mission field.
